Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Reigning MLS Cup 2025 champions Inter Miami CF have announced the first three matches of their highly anticipated 2026 preseason schedule, dubbed the “Champions Tour.” The Herons, fresh off their historic title win, will embark on an ambitious trip across South America, facing powerhouse clubs in Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador as they prepare for a blockbuster seventh season in Major League Soccer (MLS).
This Inter Miami 2026 preseason tour marks a strategic global push for the club, building on their growing international appeal and providing high-level competition ahead of the 2026 MLS campaign and the expanded FIFA Club World Cup.
The tour begins with a return to Lima, Peru – the second consecutive preseason visit – where Inter Miami will take on Club Alianza Lima on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Estadio Alejandro Villanueva (5 p.m. ET). Alianza Lima, one of Peru’s most storied teams, boast 25 Peruvian First Division titles and a rich history in international competitions.
Next, the MLS champions head to Medellín, Colombia, for a clash against Atlético Nacional on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Estadio Atanasio Girardot (5 p.m. ET). Known as “Los Verdolagas,” Atlético Nacional are Colombia’s most successful club with 18 league titles, two CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores triumphs, and a trophy cabinet brimming with continental honors.
The South American leg wraps up in Guayaquil, Ecuador, with Inter Miami’s first-ever match against Ecuadorian opposition: Barcelona de Guayaquil on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Estadio Monumental Banco Pichincha (7 p.m. ET). Barcelona SC hold the record for most Ecuadorian top-flight titles with 16, promising a passionate atmosphere in one of South America’s iconic venues.
