BC-born soccer legend Christine Sinclair has announced her retirement from Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team at the end of 2023.

In December, CANWNT will have its final international series on home turf in BC, marking the conclusion of Sinclair’s illustrious international career. However, Sinclair’s journey on the field is not over yet. She will continue to grace the NWSL with her presence as a member of the Portland Thorns throughout 2024.

While Sinclair may not be a #MadeInOntario athlete, we cannot help but celebrate the career of the most influential and impactful soccer star in Canadian history. With more goals for Canada than any other player worldwide, male or female, Sinclair has captained Canada at numerous Olympic games and FIFA World Cups. Her exceptional talent and unwavering leadership have served as a wellspring of inspiration for multiple generations of soccer players across the globe.

#ThanksSinc, and we wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors, both on and off the field.
