Brampton’s Luke Singh Joins York United FC on a Two-Year Deal
Brampton-born soccer star Luke Singh has officially signed with York United FC, securing a two-year guaranteed contract with an option for a third year. Singh, 24, joins York United after two standout seasons with Atlético Ottawa, where he made 49 appearances on loan from Toronto FC.
Singh’s journey began with North Mississauga SC and Brampton Youth SC before advancing to the Toronto FC Academy in 2017. He later had a loan stint with Denmark’s Brøndby IF before signing a homegrown contract with TFC. Despite making six regular-season MLS appearances, Toronto FC declined his 2025 contract option, paving the way for his CPL return.
This move reunites Singh with the Canadian Premier League, following a 2022 loan spell with FC Edmonton. Known for his defensive strength and tactical awareness, Singh brings valuable experience to York United FC as they aim for success in the upcoming CPL season.
Singh’s signing comes alongside other notable CPL news, including Kadin Chung returning to Pacific FC and Lorenzo Callegari extending his contract with the Halifax Wanderers through 2026.
York United FC continues to bolster its roster with Singh, further solidifying its competitive edge for the 2025 season.
